A Joint Gift-Giving and Medical Mission Program dubbed as “Operation Blessings” was conducted by the 10FSMC, 10ID, PA headed by MAJ RAUL S SASUCA (MC) PA, Commanding Officer; 56th Infantry (TATAG) Battalion, 7ID, PA headed by MAJ RUSSEL ANTHONY B BUMANGLAG (INF) PA Battalion Executive Officer in collaboration with Operation Blessings Foundation Inc. headed by Ms Sholyn Y Mangob RN/OB Coordinator.
The activities conducted from 04 to 07 December 2018 to the selected schools and sitios of Talaingod, Davao del Norte.
Operation Blessings intends to deliver a joy and make our Indigenous People/LUMAD Community will also feel the true essence of Christmas.
Almost 1,255 pupils and other civilian populace received medical and dental services; free haircut services and a new pair of slippers. Beneficiaries also enjoy the conduct of magic show, fun games, and a treat meal.
The Gift-giving program highlights the Bayanihan efforts of this unit and other stakeholders to further reach out to the populace within the area of responsibility (AOR).
TATAG battalion will pursue its non-traditional role in supporting the national development together with all stakeholders, in order to uplift the lives of the Filipino people especially the Lumad community within the AOR.
