Police stations to receive computer sets from QC gov’t

A resolution donating new computers to the four stations under the Quezon City Police District was recently passed by the Quezon City Council.

Resolution 7491-2018, which was authored by Councilor Eufemio Lagumbay, aims to help the QCPD with its modernization program and enhance its documentation, communication, and other services.

Quezon City Vice Mayor Joy Belmonte expressed support for Lagumbay’s resolution, saying police precincts should start upgrading their systems to provide better services to their communities.

“We should support this kind of resolution because it is for the improvement of our police stations. We are aware that some precincts still lack computer sets that’s why the city council is working on providing some for them,” said Belmonte.

“These computers will help them to keep their records better and, thus, provide faster and more efficient services to the city’s residents,” she added.

Once the resolution is signed by Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista, the new computers will be given to Police Station 7 in Camp Panopio, Police Station 8 at 366 P. Tuazon Boulevard; Police Station 9 in Anonas Street, Project 2; and Police Station 12 along C-5 Road, Bagumbayan, Libis.

“Hopefully, we can provide for more QCPD precincts, especially those that really need more computer sets in accordance with our objective to improve peace and order in the city,” Belmonte said.
