NEGROS OCCIDENTAL — The Community Support Program (CSP) of the Philippine Army has made possible the awarding of rites to land of agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) through the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR).
About 75 ARBs received their Certificate of Land Ownership Award (CLOA) covering a total of 63 hectares of landholding formerly owned by Julie Jalandoni Land Holdings in Sitio Flora in Barangay Hilamonan in Kabankalan City.
The 32nd Civil Military Operations Company (32CMOC), 3rd Civil Military Operations Battalion (3CMOBn) under operational control of the 303rd Infantry (BROWN EAGLE) Brigade initiated the efforts for the awarding of CLOAs to the ARBs.
303rd Infantry Brigade Commander Col. Alberto Desoyo said the signing of Partition Agreement for Individual CLOA is a manifestation that the efforts of the Philippine Army is not only protecting the people and the state but also performing non-traditional roles such as facilitating the entry of basic services to the community through its CSP operations.
“303rd Brigade will continue to engage civil authorities and line government agencies (LGAs) to bring the government closer to the communities in its area of operations (AOR) particularly in Negros,” Desoyo added as he urged the people to continuously support the developmental programs of the government.
Meanwhile, DAR will conduct a three-day Basic Membership Enhancement Seminar to the new ARBs – the new landowners.(LTP/EAD-PIA6 Negros Occidental/Easter Anne Doza)
